Today is a New Moon and its time to set our goals for the lunar month. So lets go ahead and start with our new moon beginnings. I really enjoyed creating the my July Plan With Me. So grab some tea and light a candle with me as we do some goal setting.
The deck that I’m using today is the Animal Spirit Deck by Kim Krans. This layout is from my July Monthly Plan With Me. I like to shuffle the deck three times or whatever feels good. The layout I’m using today is a 3 card layout with the prompts, to have, to do, and to be. For to have I drew the bat, for to do the fox, and for to be the lizard.
to have to do to be
I also like to write down anything that jumps out at me from the guide book that goes along with whatever deck that I’m using using. The tarot cards gives my brain a little bit of a jump start, that gets me thinking almost automatically from a different perspective when I reflect on my current situation.
For the bat I wrote, darkness, letting go, death leading to rebirth. When in balance: accepts, adapts, adjusts. When out of balance: refuses to let go, reminisces. To bring into balance: watch the sun rise.
For the fox I wrote, smart, strong partner or mate, wise teacher. Skillful in business, quick to adapt. When out of balance: unsure of their identity. To bring into balance: partnership, connection.
These themes jumped out at me when I was reading the guidebook because I am an in a bit of a phase where I’m having problems executing and doing. I feel kind of stuck right now. So I feel like these themes are actually going to help me remind myself, “you can do this, keep going.”
For the lizard I wrote, instinctual, sensitive to the subtle, dreamer. Intuition, sees what it wants to manifest. When out of balance: elusive, non committal, flaky. To bring into balance: a creative project.
This month’s lunar theme is:
follow your intentions
On the next page I write my mantras for the month that popped up out of this New Moon Beginnings tarot prompts. I have four sections here, I am, I can, I’ve done, and I will. The mantras that I was inspired to write were…
I am committed to my goals and my spiritual practices.
JENNY PROCZKO, 7TH MOON mantra 2019
I am skillful in business.
JENNY PROCZKO, 7TH MOON MANTRA 2019
I can see what I want to manifest.
JENNY PROCZKO, 7TH MOON MANTRA 2019
I set these goals to further my growth and development as a Spiritual Nomad.
JENNY PROCZKO, 7TH MOON MANTRA 2019
I will continue to accept, adapt, and adjust, quickly.
JENNY PROCZKO, 7TH MOON MANTRA 2019
Since I’ve been in such a weird place lately I decided to re-include the challenges, goals, and how I’m going to do it page.
challenges goals how I’m going to do it
This month my challenges are going to be the doing and getting back into the flow of work and my spiritual practices and mindfulness routine. My goals are going to be daily movement, to unplug at 8 p.m., and have three cooking weekends. And now, how I’m going to do it, I’m going to adapt quickly and set boundaries for myself by saying no to the things that do not further my growth. And secondly, I’m going to time block for movement, creating, consuming, and re-connection. At the bottom of the page I have a little note here to make sure that these goals support my yearly goals. I think of these goals align with my yearly spiritual goals too.
This month my intentions are to get daily movement built into my schedule, unplug at 8 p.m. and have three cooking weekends. I’m also looking forward to connecting and moving at the conference and at the party the following day.
My main mantra for this month is, I have set aside time for movement creating consuming and re-connection. I’ll be saying this Mantra everyday when I check in with my journal. Now I’m finishing up my new moon lunar goal-setting practice with my New Moon Intention: I am flowering I have clarified my purpose and descended into myself to see myself clearly and change to focus on being my best and true self.
My mantra for this cycle is:
I have set aside time for movement creating consuming and re-connection.

Either by the moon or in the morning of each new lunar phase, I set a positive feeling based intention for each of the eight lunar phases. For this new moon I wrote:

Then at the beginning of each moon phase for this cycle I will come back to this spread and write a new positive feeling based intention. I’ll be posting these little mini moon updates over on Instagram, so be sure to follow me there so you don’t miss them!
On the final Crescent Moon of the lunar cycle I do a Lunar Review of the entire month tracking my journey back to the new moon. First I think about what worked, what didn’t, and what I can improve. Then I reflect on the biggest wins of the lunar month.
This journaling and goal setting practice is something that I do the night before every new moon or the morning of every new moon. This practice of short term, achievable goal setting via the lunar cycle, has grown really dear to my heart. It’s something that I can’t imagine not doing.
Using tarot cards in this way gives me a new lens in which to look at my life. It’s also given me a lot of inspiration and closure by looking at my life through a different perspective. This practice has also helped me hone my focusing skills and has enabled me to quit second guessing myself. With this practical tarot new moon journaling prompt, I look forward to each lunar cycle and the start of a new chance to achieve my goals.

Today is a New Moon and it’s time to set our goals for the lunar month. So lets go ahead and start with our new moon beginnings. I really enjoyed creating the my June Plan With Me and today I’ve taken my BUJO outside to the deck. So grab some tea and light a candle with me as we do some goal setting.
This month I’m using Spirit De Lune Guidebook and Deck. This layout is from my June Monthly Plan With Me. I like to start by shuffling the deck 3 times or whatever feels good, and then I cut the deck. This month for my journaling prompts I’ll be focusing on:
to have
to do
to be
I like to write down any notes that jump out at me from the guidebooks as I journal. For to have, I have the planting moon, to do, the waxing gibbous moon, and to be, the blessing moon. I’ll be thinking about my notes as I work on the opposite page where I figure out my challenges, goals, and how I’m going to accomplish them.
This month’s lunar theme is:
savor sweetness
My intention for this cycle is to start the 13 week wellness plan, time block my schedule, and share more with on camera videos.
My mantra for this cycle is:
“I have devotion & discipline to strengthen my health, unplug & explore, and to read more to foster my Spiritual Nomad growth & creativity.”

Today I’m going to show you how I set my monthly goals at the beginning of each lunar month. The beginning of each moon cycle starts with the New Moon or the Dark Moon, which is a time to plan for the cycle.
Every new moon I like to set a short term goal for the next 28 days which is one lunar cycle. Instead of picking out one intention out of thin air, I like to use tarot cards to help get my creative juices flowing. I don’t believe that tarot cards can tell us our future, but I do think that they are some pretty beautiful miniature works of art that can inspire us with their stories and help prompt us to look at our lives through a different lens.
I use this Journaling Prompt spread in my Lunar Bullet Journal to inspire me to identify my hopes, dreams, challenges and goals for the coming lunar month.
You might recognize this from my April Plan With Me. This month’s lunar theme is “celebrate your blooming goals.” In this spread I have a section for challenges, goals, and how I’m going to accomplish them. I also have a little tracker down at the bottom of the page that I fill in with a new leaf each day when I say these mantras to myself.
This month I felt like reaching for the Wild Unknown Spirit Animal Deck. I start by just shuffling cards, I usually do this about three times or whatever feels good and then I cut the deck. Today I’m doing a really simple present, past, and future 3 card layout, starting with the present in the middle.
I think about the challenges that I could be faced with in the coming lunar month as I jot down any notes or themes that stuck out to me from the guide book. I’m using the guide book that goes with this deck, you can use any type of tarot deck or book that you want you can even just do your own intuitive reading of what these cards mean based on their drawings. I always make sure to write down the main theme of each card listed in the guidebook, then anything from the description that speaks to me. I also take notes of what the card might be prompting me to think about in connection to my current life situation.
These are going to be the ideas that I need to focus on in this coming lunar cycle. Keeping in mind the theme of the lunar month which is “celebrate your blooming goals,” I’m going to be thinking about the challenges that might pop up and then the goals that I want to make sure that I am working toward to be accomplished.
This spread has prompted me to create stronger foundations in my creative work, mental health, and continued learning.
The challenges that I’ll be facing in the coming lunar month are: letting my voice out, finding the daily retreat, balancing the ego.
My goals are to focus on: talking more and opening up, meditation as a priority, reading an inner child book.
Under the How I’m going to do it section, I usually these ideas straight into mantras for myself. If you want to see the process of determining to write this section check out my 13th Moon Video.
My mantra for this cycle is:
“I celebrate my blooming goals by continuing to nourish them with more sit down videos, meditating right after yoga, and reading right after meditation.”
jenny proczko, 4th moon Mantra 2019
My tracker is the same as always, little sprouts that come up during each week of the lunar month, which you can see at the bottom of my page. Each day I create a little leaf and color it in as I say the mantra with my morning tea.
On the next couple of pages are my lunar month spread with moon dutch doors. If you would like to see how I came up with this layout, check out my April Plan With Me.
Either by the moon or in the morning of each new lunar phase, I set a positive feeling based intention for each of the eight lunar phases. For this new moon I wrote:

Today I’m going to show you how I review and assess my goals at the end of each lunar month to see how I did and what progress was made. The end of each moon cycle starts with the Balsamic Moon which is the last crescent moon of each lunar cycle.
This is my journal spread for the 3rd Lunar cycle of the year. Watch my 3rd Moon Full Moon Check In to see what my intention was for this cycle and to see the feeling based intentions I wrote on each moon phase from the new moon to the full moon.
I’m starting off with the feeling based intentions for the Disseminating Moon, which is also the Waning Moon. Remember Wax On is the first half of the cycle and Wane Off is the second half of each lunar cycle.
I write these feeling based intentions on each lunar phase either in the morning or in the evening by the light of the moon.
On the final Crescent Moon of the lunar cycle I do a Lunar Review of the entire month tracking my journey back to the new moon. First I think about what worked, what didn’t, and what I can improve. Then I reflect on the biggest wins of the lunar month.
Today I’m going to show you how I make sure I’m on track with my goals for each Lunar Month with the Full Moon Check In, which marks mid cycle of the moon.
This is my journal spread for the 3rd Lunar cycle of the year. This is how I fill out the entire spread up to the full moon. First, on the new moon, I start by setting my goal for the lunar cycle which is, “My intention is to stay grounded and respect my flux and my flow.”
Then I write a feeling based intention on each lunar phase either in the morning or in the evening by the light of the moon. On each full moon I do a mid moon check in to see if I am still on track with my original goal from the new moon. First I think about what I have succeeded in and then reflect on what I’ll improve.
To finish my Full Moon Check In, I’m writing out my feeling based intention for the full moon, “On this full moon I release that which is no longer serving me and that prevents me from manifesting my intentions. I am strong.”
Now that we have completed this journaling prompt we can go ahead and bring our Full Moon Check In Practice to a close.
I use the Practical Tarot New Moon Journaling Prompt pages in my Lunar Bullet Journal to inspire me to identify my hopes, dreams, challenges and goals for the coming lunar month. Since my purpose is not to tell my future, but to assess my life and ascertain my goals I like to use a more in depth tarot spread that helps me focus.
You might recognize this from my February Plan With Me. I like to use this spiral layout because it gives me multiple prompts for the different areas of my life that I want to focus on. We start here in the middle with a card to represent where you stand, then move over here to what to leave behind and then move up to, what to receive, and then over what to learn, and then a card that will represent things to give, and then back down for a card that represents your hopes and dreams, and then over to the final card a secret skill that will help you get through this new moon cycle.
I’ve gone with “plant the seeds of your desires” as the theme for this lunar cycle. On the opposite page I have a section for challenges, goals, and how I’m going to accomplish them. I also have a little tracker down at the bottom of the page that I fill in with a new leaf each day when I say these mantras to myself.
The tarot deck that I felt pulled to today was The Illuminated Tarot deck by Caitlin Keegan. I start by just shuffling cards, I usually do this about three times or whatever feels good and then I cut the deck.
Fill in what each card was starting in the middle and working my way around keeping in mind the theme of “plant the seeds of your desires.” Before I even check to see what the cards mean I’m going to think about the challenges that I could be faced with in the coming lunar month.
The next thing that that I do is take a look back at what the cards and what they have prompted me to think about, and pull out any themes that I see or anything that’s popping out at me. These are going to be the ideas that I need to focus on in this coming lunar cycle. Keeping in mind the theme of the lunar month which is “plant the seeds of your desires,” I’m going to be thinking about the challenges that might pop up and then the goals that I want to make sure that I am working toward to be accomplished.
I wasn’t really sure what to make of this spread. It was the first time I was using this deck with this layout and it just felt off, which can happen. However, I did like how simple to descriptions of the cards where in the guide book, it left a lot of room for interpretation, which is what I am looking for. I don’t want something specific because it usually bogs me down and doesn’t let me come up with the analysis for my own life. It just feels like descriptive tarot guide books put too much meaning and muddle my view of my current life situation. But Hey, that’s just me. You might really enjoy a descriptive guide book and be left wanting more from a short description like the ones that go with this deck.
This spread has prompted me to create stronger foundations in my body health, morning spiritual routine, and letting go. The challenges that I’ll be facing in the coming lunar month are scheduling my time, waking up early and letting go, which is something that I am always working on. for-ev-er!
My goals are to focus on taking care of my body first by scheduling that time into my calendar, ease back into my early morning routine, even if its just waking up early and watching videos until I get use to waking up early and starting my spiritual routine. And finally, letting go of my past mistakes that haunt me and focus on learning from them, saying thank you for the lesson, and then set them down and move forward. Always forward.
Under the How I’m going to do it section, I turned these ideas straight into mantras for myself. If you want to see the process of determining to write this section check out my 13th Moon Video. I’ll leave a link in the description below and up in the cards.
My three mantras for the 2nd lunar cycle are:
I take care of my body first.
I get back into my routine to create stability.
I learn from my past mistakes and move forward, always forward.
My tracker is the same as always, little sprouts that come up during each week of the lunar month, which you can see at the bottom of my page. Each day I create a little leaf and color it in.
First I combine the mantras into one intention for the whole lunar cycle, “I plant the seeds of my desires to take care of my body first, get back into my routine, & to let go of my past mistakes, learn from them, & move forward, always forward.”
Either by the moon or in the morning of each new lunar phase, I set a positive feeling based intention for each of the eight lunar phases. For this new moon I wrote:
“I set my intention to purify my spirit, I feel my intention in my body.”
Then at the beginning of each moon phase for this cycle I will come back to this spread and write a new positive feeling based intention. If you’d like to see a video on filling out each section during each lunar phase, let me know in the comments down below.

The tarot deck that I felt pulled to today was the Wild Unknown Spirit Animal tarot deck. I start by just shuffling cards, I usually do this about three times or whatever feels good and then I cut the deck.
I think that this is a really great spread for the 1st lunar month. There are mainly fire cards which are a good thing to have at the beginning of any cycle of goal setting, especially new year goal setting because fire gives you, well, lights a fire under you and gets your drive going.
Fill in what each card was starting in the middle and working my way around keeping in mind the theme of “purify your spirit.” Before I even check to see what the cards mean I’m going to think about the challenges that I could be faced with in the coming lunar month. I’m using the guide book that goes with this deck, you can use any type of tarot deck or book that you want you can even just do your own intuitive reading of what these cards mean based on their drawings. The little stars next to some of my notes are things that I want to make sure that I pay attention to when I start this next phase of journaling prompt. The next thing that that I do is take a look back at what the cards and what they have prompted me to think about, and pull out any themes that I see or anything that’s popping out at me. This spread has also prompted me to create stronger foundations in my drive, adaptability, and patience. Which is something that I have been working hard on for the last few months.
The challenges that I’ll be facing in the coming lunar month are my restlessness from my anxiety and pacing myself instead of burning out. And of course the ever present theme of my entire life. Letting go of my need to know the unknown, or as my mom likes to say, playing it by ear, a phrase that has been the bane of my existence since childhood. My goals are to focus on waiting and pausing in times of good or bad stress, focusing on my purpose, passion, drive, and waking up to this beautiful fulfilling existence.
Under the How I’m going to do it section, I turned these ideas straight into mantras for myself. If you want to see the process of determining to write this section check out my 13th Moon Video. I’ll leave a link in the description below and up in the cards.
My three mantras for the 1st lunar cycle are:
I let go of my need to know the unknown.
I wake up to this beautiful fulfilling life.
I slow my pace.
My tracker is the same as always, little sprouts that come up during each week of the lunar month, which you can see at the bottom of my page. Each day I create a little leaf and color it in.
On the next two pages are my lunar month spread. If you would like to see how I came up with this layout, check out my January Lunar Bullet Journal Spiritual BUJO Plan With Me.
First I combine the mantras into one intention for the whole lunar cycle, I purify my spirit by letting go of my need to know the unknown, waking up to this beautiful fulfilling life, and by slowing my pace.
