Weekly Spirituality Tip: Find Daily Guidance From Someone You Admire

This week I want you to seek out daily guidance from someone you admire.

By developing the practice of looking to someone you admire daily, you are giving yourself the chance to emulate the person and their ideas at the beginning of the day, which will help set the tone for the rest for your day. In today’s digital world this can be done by following someone on social media, reading a passage from a book they have written or their autobiography every morning, or join their newsletter. You can even seek out imagery by the person you choose on social media or simply do in image search of their artwork. Because of technology, this is an easy habit to develop.

You can find daily guidance in how the person you admire lives their day-to-day, what their world views are, their values, their opinions, their lifestyle. What makes this an easy habit to develop is that you can utilize your phone or email, and have it send you these inspirational updates daily. Another easy was to develop this habit it to keep a book on your bedside under your phone that you read as soon as you wake up. There are even apps that you can use on your smart phone to give you daily updates of inspiration. Apps that send you daily quotes from a multitude of people can also serve as inspiration for finding your spiritual adviser.

In the past I have looked for daily spiritual guidance from Rumi by reading a passage daily from a physical book. What I like to do currently is have this inspiration delivered to me first by a physical book. Every morning I read one daily ritual of various creatives from the book, “Daily Rituals, How Artists Work” by Mason Currey. I look to each of the daily rituals of these people for guidance in lifestyle, including guidance in what not to do. Then after I have read a passage from this physical book, I start my day.

Through out the day I receive digital image updates from people and communities online that I follow for spirituality, calm, and inspirational guidance. As these images pop up during my day they serve as little reminders to check in with my spiritual and lifestyle goals. This practice of finding daily guidance from someone I admire spiritually, has lessened my anxiety and given me a multitude of lens’ in which to view the world.

Weekly Spirituality Tip: Find Daily Guidance From Someone You Admire

Thing To Remember:

  1. Follow anyone that you find inspiring in work, business, or life.
  2. Take what they say with a grain of salt.
  3. Retain your identity.

Some other important things to remember are that you don’t have to look to someone for spiritual guidance, you can just look to someone for inspiration. Your spirit and soul will be moved by the inspiration. But be careful not to get sucked into copying their every move, look to them only for suggestions. If you don’t retain your sense of self while looking to someone else for guidance, you might get caught up with a case of Keeping Up With The Jones’.

Who do you admire that you follow for guidance?

The Late Spring Full Moon Names | May Full Moon

In the Northern Hemisphere the full moon of May and the holidays May Day and Beltane corresponds with signs of fertility, renewal and growth. Farmers keep praying for rain as the first shoots of their crops rise up out of the soil. The farmers are also tending to the new babies of Spring and those that are in need of being bottle fed, keeping them busy as May comes to a close.

The Flower Moon is the full moon that happens in May, closest to the holidays of May Day and Beltane. This is the moon that told our ancestors who lived off the land that is was the time of flowers springing forth in abundance. The most common signs of the Flower Moon of May are of course flowers everywhere and the birds singing. This moon also reminded settlers that they were nearing the end of the late frosts of Spring.

The Late Spring Full Moon Names:

Flower Moon
Corn Planting moon
Milk Moon
Dragon Moon
Panther Moon
Grass Moon
Moon When Leaves Are Green

Growing up on a Mid-Western farm, this was one of my favorite times of year. School was ending and my mother’s light purple irises were in full bloom. Every year we would pick a bouquet of irises to give to our teacher and bus driver as an end of the school year present. Now this time of year is is extremely special to us because it is our yearly Spring visit to the farm on Mother’s Day. It’s so reassuring to see my mother’s irises when we pull up to the farm. They’re a signal that even though there is constant change, the sun will always rise and the flowers will eventually always bloom.

Weekly Spirituality Tip: Use Scent To Transform Your Space

This week I want you to use scent to transform your space and go smudge yourself!

Smudging is a way to use aromatics to put yourself into a different frame of mind to start your day. Smudging is a method of burning dried herbs to produce a smoke to bathe a person in preparation for a ceremony that is usually related to blessing, cleansing or healing. But that’s not how we’re using it today.

If you think about it, we already use aromatics as signifiers every day. It is no different from having a cup of coffee or tea first thing every morning, or lighting a candle as soon as you get home at night. Both of these mundane things are rituals that you perform every day without thinking that get you into a distinct mentality. How often have you felt like you couldn’t start your day without coffee? The coffee signals to your brain that its time to start the day. Lighting a candle at night when you get home signals to your brain that the day is over and its time to relax.

By developing the practice of using aromatics to set your thoughts for the day you are creating a trigger for your body to automatically respond to, a type of routine or automation to your thinking/day. This will also feel like you are cleaning or purifying your space, due to the particular scent of sage or specific herb you use. The ritualistic act of lighting the sage and smelling the aroma is similar to lighting a candle to make your space cozy. You are lighting the sage to cleanse your space, and to give yourself a sense of mental purification. Smudging with sage is a really great stress reliever.

In my own personal experience I have found that the scent of sage calms me. It doesn’t matter if I’m cooking with it or burning a smudge stick or loose herbs. As soon as I catch the scent of sage a wave of calm washes over me and takes away any anxiety that I may have been feeling. I have also used a sage room spray in the past with a small spray bottle with some drops of sage essential oil in water. You can also use a bundle that is sage only or you can spice it up with other dried herbs to cleanse and purify your space, or as an aromatic, much like a candle or potpourri, to put you into a different frame of mind to get your day going.

We also really, and I mean REALLY, love love LOVE! frankincense and myrrh in our household. For my husband, it transforms any room into a sacred space because of his associations growing up with frankincense and myrrh in the Eastern Orthodox Church.

Another really easy way to use scent to transform your space is with incense sticks. This is one of our favorite past times, going to smell and pick out new incense sticks from one of our local shops. Sometimes there are days where I want to change it up or the smoke is bothering him, so I use a room spray instead from Zum Mist in the frankincense and myrrh scent. The next smudging tool I want to try is palo santo, let me know in the comments if you’ve tried palo santo and if you like its scent. I also would love to bring back a classic, sandalwood incense.

Things To Remember:

1. You might not like the scent of sage.

2. Choose a scent that speaks to you.

3. Snuff out the candle or sage bundle when you’re done!

4. Never leave a lit candle, incense, or herb bundle unattended.

You may find that you don’t like the scent of sage, or the smoke of burning dried herbs, and that’s okay. Sage brings me a calming peacefulness because I have chosen to associate the scent of sage with those qualities. There might be a different scent that releases a trigger in you to feel calm and at peace, use that scent to smudge yourself. Bathe yourself in that scent at the beginning of every day to bring your mindset to a place of focus on calm.

Have you used sage or any other herbs to smudge yourself or to get yourself into a certain mindset?

5th Moon Monthly Goals Plan With Me | Lunar Goal Setting

Today is a New Moon and its time to set our goals for the lunar month. So lets go ahead and start with our new moon beginnings. I really enjoyed creating the space for journaling last week and making it special, so today I’m going to do the same. So grab some tea and light a candle with me as we do some goal setting.

This month I’m using The Wild Unknown Animal Spirit Guidebook and Deck. This layout is from my May Monthly Plan With Me. I like to start by shuffling the deck 3 times or whatever feels good, and then I cut the deck. This month for my journaling prompts I’ll be focusing on:

to have

to do

to be

I like to write down any notes that jump out at me from the guidebooks as I journal. For to have, I have the lizard, to do, the fox, and to be, the bat. I’ll be thinking about my notes as I work on the opposite page where I figure out my challenges, goals, and how I’m going to accomplish them.

This month’s lunar theme is:

reorient & renew

My intention for this cycle is:

“to re-up my goals, focus on connection, & tune into my intuition.”

jenny proczko, 5th moon intention 2019

Either by the moon or in the morning of each new lunar phase, I set a positive feeling based intention for each of the eight lunar phases. For this new moon I wrote:

“I set my intention to re-up my goals, focus on connection, & tune into my intention. I feel my intention in my body.”

JENNY PROCZKO, 5TH MOON 2019, New moon Intention

Then at the beginning of each moon phase for this cycle I will come back to this spread and write a new positive feeling based intention. I’ll be posting these little mini moon updates over on Instagram, so be sure to follow me there so you don’t miss them!

On the final Crescent Moon of the lunar cycle I do a Lunar Review of the entire month tracking my journey back to the new moon. First I think about what worked, what didn’t, and what I can improve. Then I reflect on the biggest wins of the lunar month.

This journaling and goal setting practice is something that I do the night before every new moon or the morning of every new moon. This practice of short term, achievable goal setting via the lunar cycle, has grown really dear to my heart. It’s something that I can’t imagine not doing.

Using tarot cards in this way gives me a new lens in which to look at my life. It’s also given me a lot of inspiration and closure by looking at my life through a different perspective. This practice has also helped me hone my focusing skills and has enabled me to quit second guessing myself. With this practical tarot new moon journaling prompt, I look forward to each lunar cycle and the start of a new chance to achieve my goals.

Now that we have completed this Monthly Lunar Goal Setting session, we can go ahead and bring our 5th Moon Practice to a close.

7 Late Spring Self Care Tips

Today I wanted to share with you my current top 7 Late Spring Self Care Tips that make sure to care for your mind, body, soul, and foster your spirituality.

May and June are exciting months when the weather finally turns to warm the earth as the buds of spring begin to bloom in full glory. With all of the excitement of Spring we can sometimes forget about caring for ourselves as we turn our focus to getting back outside. This calls for a touch more of self care, especially since the busy days of summer are right around the corner. If we instill these self care habits now, while on the cusp of the busiest season of the year, we will find ourselves in much better shape as the summer stretches on.

This is our chance to start again.

mind

1. Refine, Observe, & Build Momentum.

After the Spring has sprung and we get out all of our excitement and zoomies, we need to make sure to care for our minds by taking the time to focus on ourselves and our own goals that we set at Spring and at the beginning of the year. This can be as simple as reflecting on the progress of your goals over a cup of coffee or tea. You can also journal your observations of your goals since setting them, and then refine them by setting up plans that focus on driving them forward. But remember, planning without action means nothing. Now is the time to build that momentum towards your goals by re-evaluating them.

body

2. Nourish your body with local raw foods.

Farmers markets are starting to open for the spring and summer season at this time of year. We all know that raw, unprocessed vegetables have higher nutritional value than cooked, honey is no different. Local honey is a really good example of nourishing your body with local foods. Consuming raw local honey helps your body strengthen its immune system, and reduce pollen allergy symptoms. But how you may wonder? The Bees are making honey with local pollen, so their honey is almost like a flu shot made pacifically for your region in the spring time for those of us sensitive to pollen allergy symptoms. Raw local honey that hasn’t been heated or pasteurize contains natural vitamins, enzymes, powerful antioxidants, and more important nutrients.

By supporting local honey producers, you can verify that the honey you’re purchasing is truly raw and has the beneficial properties that humans have used for centuries to treat many ailments.

3. Take your exercise practice outside.

Take your exercise practice outside in the spring sun. I absolutely love taking my yoga practice outside onto our deck. If I have more time, I love to take a short hike to a near by arboretum and practice yoga in a clearing while soaking up all of that sunshine that has finally broken back through. I also like to listen to podcasts or music when I’m doing something practical like gardening.

4. Plan a seasonally appropriate body care routine.

Plan a seasonally appropriate body care beauty routine. I’ve noticed that my dry winter skin actually appreciates body oils as the seasons shift before I settle into a lighter moisturizer for the peak of summer. You could also take the time to make your own body scrub to sluff away the last remnants of dead dry winter skin cells. I have a few favorite go to recipes for salt and sugar scrubs that I have been using for years that I’ll be sharing soon, subscribe so you don’t miss it. I’ve also recently tried an exfoliating brush that is working surprisingly well.

soul

5. Pick up a new book that relates to one of your goals.

Weather you buy, borrow, or listen to a book, just be sure to immerse yourself within its pages. And remember you don’t always have to buy a book. I am borrowing my book list from the library this year through the app Libby. I like to listen to my books while I’m on a walk, and it ended up taking me six day’s to finish my first book of the year. So I highly recommend utilizing audio books on any platform.

6. Find ways to give back by donating your unwanted items to charity.

Spring cleaning your home, closets, garage, car, not only revitalizes your space, its also a cost-free way to give back. Donate seasonal clothing items and blankets you don’t use anymore to shelters. If you’re not sure where to find your local shelters, you can always donate these items to a church or food pantry. There you can be sure that your items will make it to those in need. Still not sure? You can always call your local police station on their non emergency line and ask them for shelter locations to donate to.

spirituality

7. Connect with nature by taking a mindful walk.

In a previous article, 7 Mid Winter Self Care Tips, I mention that you need to find ways to connect with nature even though its cold outside. Luckily with Spring, we don’t have that problem at all! So at this time of year, its not about figuring out how to get outside, its about tapping into the moment whenever we are outside. Instead of getting into the zone of “doing mode,” consciously stop and smell the roses! The dogwood trees are blooming right now and the other buds are starting to open. Stop and look at them, smell the flowers in the trees and appreciate the vibrancy of the yellow daffodils.

If you are still having trouble remembering to be mindful on this nature walk, go out with the intention of taking pictures of the re-emerging nature all around you. With the intention of taking photos, mindfulness is built in because you have to stop, look, and appreciate. With this tactic, you might even stop and smell a few flowers.

I hope that these 7 Late Spring Self Care Tips help you feel rooted and connected with your mind, body, soul, and foster your spirituality. Be sure to take care of yourself in whatever way works for you during the warm months. I’d love to hear in the comments below what you do to practice self care during late spring.

How are you connecting to your spirituality?

7 Mantras To Help You Take A Technology Break

I’ve talked about why taking a break from technology is important. But I know that it isn’t always easy, sometimes we literally don’t have time, but other times, we aren’t making the time. SO today I want to share with you 7 Mantras To Help You Take A Technology Break

7 mantras for taking a technology break:

“taking this break lets me breathe & think for myself”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo
“this feels weird and stressful, but that’s okay”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo
“my mental health is more important than the internet”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo
“I deserve this break”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo
“I deserve this break from technology clutter”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo
“I’m not missing anything truly important by going offline”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo
“the world will still be there when I turn the internet back on”
– Jenny Proczko from Owls&Indigo

What do you do when you turn the internet off or take a break from technology? For more ideas on how to cope with turning off the internet for the day or a few hours read my article here.

Weekly Spirituality Tip: Take a break from technology for an entire day or a few hours each day.

This week I want you to focus on Take a break from technology for an entire day this week or even a few hours each day.

When I sat down to write this morning I thought that today was going to be the all day tech break, day for me. The internet was down and I panicked for a second when I realized that this tech break had been forced upon me. Then I remembered that all I was doing today was writing. So a break from the outside world of tech would have been a welcome stretch of silence. Especially because today happens to be a rainy spring day, my favorite type of day for hunkering down or cozying up (depending on your mood) and writing, journaling and sometimes reading a physical book all day long in sounds and the dim light of the rain. It truly would have been a welcome picturesque break from technology.

By developing the habit of taking a break from technology for a few hours each day this week, you are giving yourself a chance to breathe and your mind the chance to think for itself. This practice will give you quiet in the busy, always moving digital world we live in. It can be as simple as leaving your phone at home, or if you can’t bear to be parted, put your phone in airplane mode or turn it off.

I have a hard time putting down my phone, not picking it up when it plays a notification sound, and not carrying it with me. It’s incredibly hard because I use my phone as a secondary device for my work on the go. But, it can be done, and you’ve taken the first step by reading this Weekly Spirituality Tip.

For a few hours a day, unplug your internet and put your phone in airplane mode and enjoy the silence and the clearing of digital clutter, I’m talking about all of those notifications, mindless scrolling, and incessant email refreshing.

…the habit of taking a break from technology for a few hours each day this week, gives you a chance to breathe & your mind the chance to think for itself.

jenny Proczko

Things To Remember:

  1. The world will still be there when you turn the internet back on.
  2. You aren’t missing anything truly important by going offline.
  3. You deserve this break from technology clutter.
  4. Your mental health and stability are more important than staying continuously connected the internet.
  5. It will feel weird and stressful at first, but that’s okay.

Where I truly find quiet, is when I detach myself from my phone and computer while camping for a few days. Its an amazing feeling to be in nature and not have to worry about charging my device, answering emails, keeping up with social media, taking calls, responding to texts and other messages. Sadly we can’t all go camping just to get away from technology any time we need it. But what I have found that works for me is blocking anything that is not work related on my devices.

On my computer, my browser loads a page every time I open it that has short cuts to only the programs and webpages I need for work. I use the chrome browser and have the following app short cuts: Pocket, Google Keep, Feedly, Evernote, Trello, Google Drive, Memo (for taking notes offline), Do It Tomorrow (my to do list that syncs to my phone), and Google Calendar. On my phone I have a folder for work that has the same apps as my Chrome browser on my computer. I also “force stop” or sometimes even uninstall apps on my phone so I don’t get constant notifications. After all of that, I put my phone in airplane mode so I’m not getting any notifications. After I’ve done that, I either leave my phone alone or work offline with only the apps in my work folder.

May BUJO Plan With Me – Lunar & Spiritual Journaling

I used to create the space for journaling, and recently I have felt like I haven’t been sitting down and making the time to make journaling a special event. So today I just wanted to grab some tea, light a candle, and sit down to plan out May with you.

I’ve decided to move my daily planner into my spiritual and lunar bullet journal. I’m super pumped to show you a way to meld your spiritual journaling practice, your everyday tasks and to-do-lists, and your daily planner all into one place. I’m really excited to see if doing this makes everything feel a little more cohesive, and if it helps my mental state. Hopefully I’ll be feeling a little calmer and a little less crazy when I’m trying to figure out what needs to be done in the three pillars of my life. It’s sometimes overwhelming to keep on top of absolutely everything that I’m a part of.

This month I wanted to keep it really simple and really easy for my monthly overview. I have a small month calendar with the moon phases in place of some of the dates. At first I wasn’t sure what I wanted to do for this month and then I stumbled across baby’s breath and I realize how simple it is to doodle. For the baby’s breath I’m using a thin 005 pen, a green super tips marker, and the white and I’m using his actually white out.

This is where I share my letters to the universe, a place where I write out my thoughts, my frustrations and my gratitude. I also like to use this page as just a place to say thank you.

This new moon, I wanted to try something a little different. My prompts this month for my 5th Moon Lunar Goals Setting are:

to have
to do
to be

I’ve been doing doodles from the petite planner and when I was working on the rose for the doodles around the new moon, I was definitely thinking of her. Here is a link to some of the doodles I’ve done on my personal instagram.

The theme for the 5th Moon is: reorient & renew.

This is a page where I will be working on my challenges, goals, and how I’m going to accomplish these things, which I figure out during my 5th Moon Lunar Goal Setting session, which is coming up next to make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss it.

This turned out to be my absolute favorite spread of this entire month. I really think that the baby’s breath turned out awesome from this spread. This is also where I have my circular lunar calendar, that you’ve seen before in all of my lunar plan with me’s. I’ve really been liking the dutch doors these past couple of months. Two months ago for the 3rd Moon, I did a really fun dutch door that was based on a fortune-teller. Remember those little paper fortune tellers that we all used to have in grade school?

This month I moved my little tracker back to this spread so I’ll be able to see it at each moon phase. The inside of the dutch doors on each of the moon phases is where there will be a different billing based intention prompt. I do little mini videos over on Instagram of me journaling on each of those moon phases. Follow me on instagram so you don’t miss these moon phase minis and so you can see how I actually fill out each feeling based intention prompt on the morning of each moon phase.

At the beginning of this section my intention for the entire lunar cycle which I will determine through the 5th new moon lunar goal setting session. And a mid-month full moon check in where I reflect on

what I’ve succeeded in
what I can do to improve

Which carries me through the rest of the lunar month to the last crescent moon. On the last phase of the lunar month, the crescent moon or the balsamic moon, I do a 5th Moon Lunar Review where I reflect on

what worked
what didn’t
what to improve

For the rest of the last crescent moon phase, I just rest and reflect on what happened during the month.

For this spread I’ve got my ideal month, week, and day. On the opposite page is my focus for the month.

This is my master to do list for the whole month for each of the three pillars of my life. I have one for Owls&Indigo, my marketing business and one for personal tasks.

And now, finally, I’m going to be merging my daily planner with my lunar and spiritual bullet Journal with weekly dutch door spreads. On the right side is a section for my goals, focus, and upcoming. On the left I’ve got a little section for my daily tasks that I’m doing every single day that are repetitive and that I do no matter what. I just need to check them off, I don’t really need to add them to my to do list, I just need to make sure that I am tracking that they got done.

For the last BUJO spread of May, I have my “unravel your month.” This year my words are flux & flow, if you’d like to know why I chose those words for the year, or how I came up with them let me know in the comments down below.

The journal prompts I want to make sure that I reflect on at the end of the month are:

what I learned
how I challenged myself
what I’m most grateful for

And the last and most important journaling prompt is:

What does spirituality mean to you?

Let me know in the comments down below what spirituality means to you or email me! For me spirituality is all about connection; to the inside and also connection to the outside. How am I connecting to my true self, my inner child, my soul, and my spirit? How do I connect that core inner self back out? If you’d like me to talk further about how this makes me feel connected to the world, to myself, to others, let me know in the comments down below.

Is your answer similar to mine? Is it totally different?

Weekly Spirituality Tip: Turn off that overly LOGICAL VOICE in your head through meditation.

This week I want you to focus on turning off that overly logical voice in your head through meditation.

Last week you focused on turning off the overly critical voice in your head. So this week we are focusing on the overly logical voice that can creep up on us. The difference between the two is that the overly critical voice is negative and almost always wants to second guess you and tear you down in a negative way. In contrast the overly logical voice in your head means well and is positive, trying to help you find a solution. But they, the overly logical voice, just has too much to say and doesn’t know when to stop, going from scenario to scenario to scenario to infinite scenarios.

I had to teach myself to become a good listener for myself.

Jenny proczko

The solution to quelling both the overly critical voice and the overly logical voice is teaching yourself to be a good listener through meditation.

Meditation is hard if its not something you practice daily, it’s a muscle that needs to be flexed and cultivated on a regular basis. One of the many benefits of developing a daily meditation practice is that it will give you a chance to practice being in the moment and quieting the overly logical voice in your head. This is very beneficial for relationships of all levels, but also a hard thing to do if you have experienced yourself constantly over analyzing situations or being accused of being too logical and cold or unemotional. Learning to quell the overly logical voice in your head and be in the present moment will strengthen your relationships and self confidence. I had to teach myself to become a good listener for myself.

Learning to quell the overly logical voice in your head and be in the present moment will strengthen your relationships and self confidence.

Jenny proczko

If you are living in the moment then you are going to be more open to connections and experiences…

jenny proczko

I have found that the overly logical voice creeps into my head when I am trying to make, what seems like an important decision at the given time. When I am trying to make a decision and get overly analytical, I tend to get wrapped up in myself and stop thinking about anyone else involved. And if those other people do speak up, I find myself offended that they don’t share the same logic that I do. My reaction in those times always hurts my relationship with the other person.

Trying to develop a quieter logical inner voice was not easy. Its still not easy for me. I will forever be on this journey to quiet that voice. What has helped me is using meditation as a safe space to play out those scenarios and also a place to let my overly logical voice run wild, until it has had its fill. I treat it much like I do when I am trying to quieten an overly critical voice. I learned to sit with those cold logical overly analytical thoughts and let them pass. I would imagine myself sitting calm, cross legged in my mind as the overly logical voices rambled on and on. I simply let the voices and thoughts pass while I sat quiet in meditation. I know that sounds like what everyone says, so, imagine it this way:

Imagine yourself in your mind, sitting comfortably and quietly, as if you were listening to a friend needing a sympathetic ear. Let the overly logical voice ramble on and get their thoughts out. Just sit there quietly, giving them your attention but don’t say anything until they have gotten it all out.

Usually when you just listen and let someone get their thoughts or frustrations out, they usually feel better, finally end their ramble, and actually thank YOU for listening. Treat that overly logical voice in your head the same way, remain quiet, listen to them and just let them get it out.

Treat that overly logical voice in your head like a friend that needs a sympathetic ear, remain quiet, listen to them and just let them get it out.

jenny proczko

By being overly logical you are being too rational and suppressing emotions and feeling of connection with others. “It’s my personality” is not an excuse to alienate those you are speaking with.

jenny proczko

Things to Remember:

Being overly logical and analytical can make you seem cold and uncaring of those you are in relationships with. It can make it harder for them to relate to you and you to them. By being overly logical you are being too rational and suppressing emotions and feeling of connection with others. “It’s my personality” is not an excuse to alienate those you are speaking with.

…the overly logical voice in your head means well and is positive, trying to help you find a solution.

jenny proczko

Some other things that you can try to quell your overly logical voice are to force yourself to live in the moment as much as you can. If you are living in the moment then you are going to be more open to connections and experiences rather than abstract thoughts. You can also try restricting your logical voice to written communication and specific meetings that need your logical and critical analysis. Another thing to try is to create a routine or partake in activities that are not analytical in the slightest and focus more on connections and experiences.

Finally, its all about letting go.

Make sure you subscribe so you don’t miss my spirituality tip for next week. Read last week’s tip: turning off the overly CRITICAL VOICE in your head.

What do you do to turn off that overly logical voice in your head? Have you tried meditation?
